My sister did a summer holiday to Africa and fell in love with the Rhinoceros. I decided to make a carving of a Rhino Head framed with a heart to hang on her wall to remind her of her amazing holiday. Project details: Material - Red Oak (Great for carving with little clean up and sanding required). Steps - 1. Roundover the heart edges, 2. 3D roughing for Rhino head carve, 3. 3D finish for Rhino head, 4. Profile cut out the inside of the heart around the Rhino head, 5. Profile cut out the the outside of the heart.
